ANCIENT MONUMENTS



The area of Dymi is settled from the prehistoric years (4000 B.C). During the Hellenistic years it had an astonishing prestige. The archeological mattock discovered remains of the Hellenistic city; walls and buildings' foundation, a part of cemetery in Kato Achaia which included 7 graves with ceramic roofs and earthen pots, floors of houses with pebbles, aqueducts and silver coins. The signs of the famous wall of Dymi have been discovered recently. At the village Eleochori, there has been a big archeological excavation.
