The visitor of Dymi will find lovely natural beauties both in mountains and sea. Clean beaches and green-clad hillsides with olive groves, pine trees and bushes. There are also dotted historical monuments and buildings which are samples of the ancient Greek and Byzantine culture of the area. Particularly, it's worthwhile for someone to meet the following sights:
Niforeika's Beach
It's a sandy beach with pebbles with abrupt sides of sandstone. During the spring season many swallows nest there, create a colony and stay there until their migration to South.
Kato Achaia's Beach
It's the biggest one of West Achaia as long as it concerns the length. It's also too close to Patras.
Alikes (salt-pans)
It's a picturesque settlement, which according to the last census in 1991 has 171 habitants. It is called like this by the production of salt, which made there.
There is also a fishing fleet which supplies Kato Achaia with fresh fish all year while it gives its fish catches to the fish-pier of Patras. The annual production comes up to 250-300 tons.
The Local Authorities support the old fishermen and encourage the young ones to continue the tradition of this job. Through European and national programmes initiatives are promoted for the modernization of this productive action.
