THE MUNICIPALITY OF DYMI TAKES PART IN A NEW EUROPEAN PROGRAMME
The Municipality of Dymi, took part in the European Programme Socrates, proceeding its successful co-operation with the Professional Constitution Centre DAFNI.
Particularly the municipality took part in the specific programme GRUNDTVIG 2-Educational Co-operation. The title of the project was: "The women's associations for the promotion of traditional products as carriers of development and publicity of European collaboration and completion".
The project was expecting the introduction of women with low social-economical profile, who have developed of have the intention to develop associations for the promotion of traditional products, into the idea of European collaboration, This is expected to be achieved through this project which foresees the constitution in topics like: the women in business, the history and the institution of the European Union, the models of the European completion, the use of new technologies in the information and communication, the multi-cultural model for the achievement in European collaboration. It is also foreseen that both the educators and the trainees will be trained for the language of each country - member, to confront the daily communication. In the long run, through this project it is expected to be formed incentives of promotion and potentials of access. The women like citizens and businesswomen can develop these as well. In addition, conditions for more business and collaboration of the associations will be expression of communication and exchange of culture.
Target of the project was:
Women in business. Promotion of the key role in the section of development. Appreciation of local tradition and its contribution to the formation of a united European cultural model. Cultural Education. Introduction in the use of new technologies for the information and communication. Introduction in the Greek and Italian language. Information for the European Union and its members. Information for the quality models (ISO, HACCP).
In this project took part: members from (Italy, municipality of Vernole and the A.S.S.A., a company of protection and development of the city Achaia, from Cyprus. The Profesional Constitution Centre DAFNI had the co-ordination.
The Local Authorities of the city took part in the collaboration with members of the E.U. for one more time. They also followed the progress of the European programmes by exploiting the potentials of collaboration.
