In the capital of our municipality there is the Local Development of the West Achaia Centre, a pure municipal-intercommunal enterprise, which was created based on the Communal Code. This organization started in 1991. Its members were 23 Local Self-Administration Org. of the area. Its creation was suggested by the needs for management of the communal problems and for the exploitation of the resources of the area. The enforcement of the Communal Lead "Leader" and the participation of the above organization in the Greek net represented ways of promotion of the total planning for the development of the area.
